history
She's lived in Duplicity for a few years now, making a living by working at the Museum. She's lived in countless cities before that, countless countries, countless centuries. This has resulted in her picking up a very odd mix of accents and mannerisms.
Joined Arc after an incident she'd rather not talk about.

It suddenly hit her that she couldn't remember what Heaven was like anymore. She felt so old and so heavy. Closing her eyes, she leaned back into her chair. She tried not to remember things anyways, it made eternity easier to cope with. And so she was stuck in this hell hole. God only knows why He sent her to live amongst them. He had abandoned her eons ago. No doubt she served some purpose at sometime but now she was obsolete, useless. Luckily this didn't bother her much. She simply carried on, changing residence constantly. She had kept the same name for a while now. Justice St. Claire. She was pretty sure 'Claire' meant 'light' in French. How fucking tacky.
Her eyes fluttered open, and she focused on the ceiling. It was peeling, decaying like the rest of the goddamn city. Was it sadness welling up in her chest, bubbling up to the back of her throat? She found herself becoming more emotional recently. She had been an emotional blank slate the day she fell from Heaven and landed rudely on Mother Earth's cracked skin. Now, though, she was just a mess of emotions. She broke into a beaming smile, as she often did at random and inappropriate times.
She lifted the cigarette that had been burning between her fingers to her lips. No wonder so many humans braved lung cancer and all sorts of other complications. Suddenly she burst into laughter, smiling sadly again. How many people would kill to have her lungs? God, she was almost tearing up. Using the hand that held her cigarette, she wiped her eyes. Jesus Christ...she needed to get a grip. Jesus Christ. He was a nice guy. She bit her lip, grinning and holding back another outburst.
